Professional Bio
Nina Paddu, DO, is a Clinical Fellow in the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
She grew up in Syosset, New York and attended Barnard College, earning a bachelor's degree in neuroscience and behavior. She then worked for two years at Hospital for Special Surgery, coordinating clinical trials in rheumatology, which affirmed her interest in medicine. She earned her medical degree at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine.
As she enjoyed providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages, Dr. Paddu wanted to pursue a career in family medicine, and completed her residency training at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. During this time, she observed the high prevalence of obesity among children and adults and aspired to partner with patients to help prevent and treat weight-related diseases and improve quality of life.
