Professional Bio
Reena Jayani, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Oncology, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She specializes in caring for adults with hematologic malignancies, stem cell transplantation, and cellular immunotherapy. She is the Medical Director of the Older Adult Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Clinic (OASCC). Her main focus is understanding the impact of different treatment strategies in older adults with hematologic disorders. With increasing life expectancy, and rising number of older adults with hematologic cancers, developing innovative treatment strategies that increases survival while minimizing toxicity are urgently needed. Dr. Jayani is passionate about improving the care for older and/or frail adults receiving chemotherapy as well as these intensive therapies.
