Professional Bio
Sally B. Friedman, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism and general endocrinologist with a primary clinical and research interest in transgender medicine and gender-affirming hormone therapy.
She earned her medical degree with honors at the University of Texas Health School of Medicine in San Antonio. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Subsequently, she trained as a fellow and chief fellow in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
