Professional Bio
Sara Haddad, MD, joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine's Division of Infectious Diseases. She completed her medical school training at the American University of Beirut prior to moving to Philadelphia where she completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Lankenau Medical Center. She subsequently completed fellowships in Infectious Diseases and Transplant and Immunocompromised Infectious Diseases at VUMC. She joined faculty in 2024.
Her clinical interests include treatment of infections in the immunocompromised population, including solid organ transplant recipients and bone marrow transplant recipients. She has conducted clinical research focusing on CMV, interesting presentations of infections in the immunocompromised hosts and research looking at the most commonly isolated bacterial organisms and their pattern of resistance in this population.
