Professional Bio
Sarah Homann, MD, is an Fellow in the Section of Palliative Care, Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She is originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana and is an LSU alumna. She completed medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, followed by internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship at McGovern Medical School (formerly the University of Texas at Houston Medical School). She held a faculty position at McGovern Medical School prior to coming to Vanderbilt. Once here, she completed the VA Quality Scholars program in Nashville through Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS). She has clinical activity at both TVHS and VUMC, and serves as the chief of the rheumatology section at TVHS. Dr. Homann has interests in general rheumatology, quality improvement, and palliative care.
