Shabnam Eghbali
Interests

Shabnam was born and raised in Southern California spending the majority of her upbringing in northern San Diego county raised by first-generation Iranian immigrants. She attended the University of Pennsylvania where she majored in Biology in the College of Arts and Sciences and Finance in Wharton as part of the Vagelos Life Sciences and Management joint degree program. After her time at Penn, she spent a few years in San Francisco working in finance as a biopharma mergers and acquisitions analyst at Centerview Partners. During medical school, Shabnam conducted immuno-oncology research at Memorial Sloan Kettering, worked part-time in biotech consulting and investing, and co-founded a nonprofit Theia dedicated to promoting women entrepreneurship in healthcare. In her spare time, she enjoys playing basketball, boxing, weightlifting, watching stand-up and sketch comedy, and exploring craft breweries. She is a BIG fan of country music and cannot wait to explore the Nashville music scene.
