Sims Hershey
Interests

Sims grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and is the youngest of three siblings. She attended Wake Forest University where she majored in Biology with a double minor in Chemistry and Spanish. After working for two years in the medical field, she began her medical education at Emory University School of Medicine. At Emory, Sims developed a passion for medical education and mentorship. She also completed a one-year MBA between her third and fourth year at Emory University Goizueta Business School with a focus in leadership. Sims was fortunate enough to have met her future wife, and now incoming co-intern, Emily, on their high school tennis team. They attended both Wake Forest University and Emory together, couples matched into Internal Medicine, and look forward to getting married this June! Their long-haired dachshund, Murphy, can’t wait for the move to Nashville. When not in the hospital, you are likely to find Sims rock climbing at the nearest bouldering gym or eating tacos!
