Professional Bio
Susan F. Kroop, MD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Dr. Kroop received her BA and MD from Cornell University. She completed her internal medicine residency at the New England Deaconess Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School, and her rheumatology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Kroop's career has been focused on patient care and education of medical students, internal medicine residents and rheumatology fellows, first at Harvard Medical School and since 2001, at Vanderbilt. She has received an American College of Rheumatology Clinician Scholar Educator award in 2012. She has been elected to Vanderbilt School of Medicine Academy for Excellence in Teaching as well as the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Academy for Excellence in Clinical Medicine. Dr. Kroop is a practicing rheumatologist at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
