Professional Bio
Taina Ovchinnikov, MSN, FNP-BC, is an Assistant in Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, she came to the United States on a volleyball scholarship. She moved to Tennessee to purse a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Trevecca Nazarene University. Due to her interest in caring for patients with chronic illnesses, Ovchinnikov went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner) degree from Belmont University.
Before joining the Vanderbilt team, she worked as a nurse practitioner in a primary pare/ walk-in clinic. She is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
