Thomas was born and raised in Savannah, GA. At a young age he was inspired by his own pediatrician and decided to start on the journey to become a physician. He attended Georgia College for undergrad where he studied Biology and was involved in various sports teams, book clubs, and improvement projects across campus. He attended Mercer University for medical school in his hometown of Savannah. During this time, he found his passion for teaching, clinical problem solving, and medical volunteerism. When not in the hospital, Thomas enjoys weight training, fishing, hanging with his amazing co-chiefs, and exploring new places with his wife, daughter, and goldendoodle. He is applying to Geriatrics fellowship this year and planning to work in both ambulatory and inpatient settings after training.
