Professional Bio
Thomas Richardson, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
After graduating from the University of Virginia with his MD, he completed training in internal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, followed by clinical cardiology training at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio, and then interventional cardiology at Vanderbilt. Upon completion of his training, he joined the faculty in the Vanderbilt Heart Institute and also practiced for a few years in private practice at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
Clinically, Dr. Richardson enjoys taking care of a wide variety of cardiovascular conditions and also enjoys teaching nuclear cardiology and cardiac catheterization to cardiology fellows.
