Winston Bell was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He then received a BS in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Heels!). Thereafter, he transitioned to Tufts University School of Medicine to receive his MS in Biomedical Sciences. He spent a year working in a pharmacy, and then returned to obtain his Degree in Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine. During his time at Tufts, some of his notable work focused on improving the curricular materials via the Anti-Racism Task Force and working as a Summer Fellow for the Office of Educational Affairs. He is passionate about mentorship and he worked to create the Tufts MD-MBS Mentorship Program. Throughout the years, he has enjoyed playing tennis and serving his community. In addition, he also enjoys outdoor activities, cooking and listening to music. He is an only child, thus family is very important to him. He is ecstatic to become a part of the Vanderbilt family!
