A recent VUMC-led study of relatives of patients with familial pulmonary fibrosis (FPF), a form of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) that runs in families, studied the risk factors for progressive early disease in a group of asymptomatic relatives of patients with FPF.
