Study: Discovery raises hopes for new cancer therapy

In a study co-led by Ray Blind, PhD (Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism), and colleagues at VUMC and the Sanford Burnham Prebys Discovery Institute, researchers have connected the Hippo pathway to phosphoinositides, a particular type of lipid, or fat molecule, which regulates cell functions that are critical in cancer, obesity and diabetes. The findings were recently published in Science Signaling.
