Curricula are being developed at VUMC to train health care personnel in the details of managing older adults with substance use disorder.

Studies underway focus on nurse staffing allocations, discharge transitions, and social drivers of health for patients. Three targeted research projects aimed at improving hospital models of care delivery are coming together at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

A Vanderbilt University Medical Center-led team has developed a scale to measure trustworthiness in biomedical research among minority populations — a landmark tool for researchers to use to improve their own trustworthiness, and thus participation in research.
