Professional Bio
Alex Tinianow, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology and Immunology, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He completed his medical degree at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, followed by internal medicine residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital (Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine) and rheumatology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard Medical School).
Within rheumatology, Dr. Tinianow specializes in musculoskeletal ultrasound, with advanced education from the Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists (USSONAR). He has been involved in several research projects and is committed to medical education, with a passion for teaching rheumatology to learners at all stages of training.
