Professional Bio
Andrea Lack, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC). She completed medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency at Baylor College of Medicine. She attained further training at Baylor's National School of Tropical Medicine, and is certified in Clinical Tropical Medicine and Travelers' Health by the American Association of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. Upon completion of residency, Dr. Lack worked at a community health center in Houston. There, she also instructed residents from Baylor College of Medicine. She joined VUMC in 2023, and has a secondary appointment in the Department of Pediatrics. Her clinical interests include medical trainee education and improving health disparities globally. She also serves internationally at several health centers.
