Professional Bio
April Pettit, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Divisions of Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The overarching goal of her research is to improve HIV status-neutral continuum of care outcomes through the implementation of evidence-based interventions. She serves as co-director of the Tennessee Center for AIDS Research Clinical Sciences Core and principal investigator for the Vanderbilt CFAR Network of Integrated Clinical Systems (CNICS) site. Her work is supported by a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention U01 award aimed at implementing rapid antiretroviral therapy and pre-exposure prophylaxis in Memphis, a Phase I priority Ending the HIV Epidemic jurisdiction.
