Professional Bio
Ashwin Kishtagari, MBBS, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Oncology, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He received his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in India. He then completed an internal medicine residency training at Mount Sinai Morning Side-West Hospital in New York, and a hematology/oncology fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Kishtagari is a board-certified hematologist-oncologist and an expert in treating bone marrow failure disorders, myeloproliferative neoplasms, myelodysplastic syndromes, and acute myeloid leukemia. He is a passionate clinical and translational investigator, caring for patients and pursuing a keen interest in clinical and translational research. His love for science has always been rooted in the belief that knowledge gained in the scientific arena can translate into better medical treatments and meaningful outcomes for patients.
