Professional Bio
Benjamin Frischhertz, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
He completed sub-specialty fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in pediatric cardiology and adult congenital heart disease then joined faculty at VUMC as assistant professor of medicine and pediatrics.
Dr. Frischhertz practices cardiology with a focus in adult congenital heart disease and pediatric cardiology and serves as co-director of Vanderbilt's Adult Congenital Heart Program. He has been involved in clinical research projects on topics related to congenital heart disease. He co-founded Vanderbilt's Adult Congenital Heart Disease Fellowship and serves as the fellowship program director.
He also collaborates with Vanderbilt's ACHD-heart failure/transplant program, collaborates with maternal fetal medicine for pregnancy management in ACHD, and serves as medical director of Vanderbilt's Marfan syndrome program.
