Professional Bio
Bhuminder Singh, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The Singh lab is interested in the role of receptor tyrosine kinases in normal epithelial homeostasis and diseases like cancer. Within this the focus is to study 1. the trafficking of EGFR ligands in polarized epithelial cells, and 2. mechanism of resistance to EGFR-directed therapies (e.g. cetuximab) in colorectal cancer.
