Professional Bio
Bipin Savani, MD, is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Oncology, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Canter. His area of specialization is in the treatment of hematological malignancies, stem cell transplantation/cellular therapy, and his primary field of research is in the long-term follow-up after transplantation/cellular therapy, including regimen-related toxicity/supportive care, and outcomes analysis of hematological malignancies, transplant and cellular therapy recipients.
Dr. Savani has published over 500 peer-reviewed articles, reviews, book chapters, editorials, perspectives and commentaries in the field of hematological malignancies, stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy. He has recently edited several special issues for Seminars in Hematology, Hematology/ Oncology Clinics of North America and edited Wiley books entitled "Blood and Marrow Transplantation Long Term Management: Prevention and Complications" (first edition 2014, second edition May 2021) and "Clinical guide to transplantation in lymphomas" (2015). He co-authored a handbook on leukemia (FAST FACTS: Leukemia, 2019).
Dr. Savani currently holds Board Certifications in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology.
