Professional Bio
Bruno B. Lima, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A native of Brazil, Dr. Lima earned his medical degree in 2010, graduating Magna Cum Laude and then earned a PhD in Pharmacology, both from the Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC). In 2014, he moved to the U.S. to pursue clinical training. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and his cardiovascular disease fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta.
He is now finishing a two-year advanced cardiovascular imaging fellowship to gain expertise in Cardiac MRI, Cardiac CT, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) in Boston, a nonprofit teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Bruno has over 45 peer-reviewed publications and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC).
