Professional Bio
Chase D. Hendrickson, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor in the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism, Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
He earned his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in his hometown of Oklahoma City and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Yale-New Haven Hospital. Subsequently, he trained at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, completing a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism and a residency in leadership preventive medicine, in addition to earning a Master of Public Health degree at the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice.
Dr. Hendrickson currently serves as the executive medical director for the Medicine Patient Care Center at VUMC, overseeing the operations of multiple subspecialty clinics and inpatient teams in the Department of Medicine. Previously, he held the positions of medical director for Eskind Diabetes Clinic and associate director for the endocrinology fellowship program. He practices general endocrinology and teaches extensively in the fellowship, leading the program's journal club and work in quality improvement.
