Professional Bio
Chase D. Hendrickson, MD, MPH, MMHC, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine’s Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC).
He earned his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in his hometown of Oklahoma City and then completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Yale-New Haven Hospital. Subsequently, he trained at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, completing a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, and a residency in leadership preventive medicine. He also earned a Master of Public Health degree at the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice. He later obtained a Master of Management in Health Care at Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
Dr. Hendrickson currently serves as the executive medical director for the Medicine Patient Care Center at VUMC, overseeing the clinical operations of multiple subspecialty clinics and inpatient teams in the Department of Medicine. Previously, he held the positions of medical director for Eskind Diabetes Clinic and associate director for the endocrinology fellowship program. He practices general endocrinology and teaches extensively in the fellowship, leading the program's journal club.
