Professional Bio
Christy Claiborne, MSSW, is an Assistant in Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She earned her BA in psychology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, graduating summa cum laude. After two years of direct care work in behavioral health, Christy returned to UTK, earning her MSSW. Following graduation, Claiborne worked as a clinical therapist in a community mental health center utilizing an integrated care model and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2009.
