Professional Bio
Dana Cardin, MD, MSCI, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Oncology, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and went on to complete her medical degrees from UNC a few years later. After an internship in Internal Medicine at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City, she came to Vanderbilt to finish her Internal Medicine Residency. She completed her Hematology and Oncology Fellowship at VUMC and joined the faculty in 2009. Since then she has focused her attention on developing clinical trials in gastrointestinal cancers with a special emphasis on pancreas adenocarcinoma. She serves on the National Comprehensive Cancer Network Pancreas Adenocarcinoma Guidelines Panel.
