Professional Bio
David J. Houff, DO, is an interventional cardiologist in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He earned his undergraduate degree from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and earned his medical degree at Midwestern University's Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Houff completed his internal medicine residency at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago and completed fellowship training in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee prior to joining VUMC in 2022. Dr. Houff’s clinical and research interests include advanced catheter-based therapies for coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease, as well as limb preservation therapies for chronic limb ischemia. Dr. Houff's goal is to improve, restore, and maintain the cardiovascular health of patients utilizing the full spectrum of treatment options including advanced, minimally invasive catheter-based therapies.
