Professional Bio
Emily Moore, MD, MPH, is an Instructor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt Health. She received her MD and her MPH in Epidemiology from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, completed her Internal Medicine residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital (a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital) as a member of Brigham and Women's Division of General Medicine's primary care track and Leadership in Health Equity pathway, and completed Infectious Diseases fellowship at Vanderbilt.
Dr. Moore’s research is in applied public health, and she works closely with the Tennessee Department of Health. The goal of her research is to use epidemiologic and implementation science methodology to improve outcomes for people with substance use disorders who have or are at risk for comorbid infections, including HIV, viral hepatitis, and serious bacterial/fungal infections. Dr. Moore sees hospitalized patients with HIV and other complex infections at Vanderbilt, sees persons with HIV at the Vanderbilt Comprehensive Care Clinic, and sees persons for pre-exposure prophylaxis as well as persons with viral hepatitis at the Vanderbilt Hepatology and Liver and Kidney Transplant Center.
