Frances Imarhia
Interests

Frances was born in Lagos, Nigeria, but moved to Grand Prairie, Texas, when she was 6 years old. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Brown University, where she also explored Public Health, Sociology, and Anthropology. She subsequently obtained her medical degree at Brown University's Warren Alpert School of Medicine. As a recipient of the National Health Service Corps Scholarship, Frances has dedicated her medical career to serving as a primary care physician in historically underserved communities. After her years of service, she is also considering pursuing fellowship opportunities that would allow her to work with medically and socioeconomically complex and vulnerable populations, such as patients with sickle cell. Her professional interests include caring for underserved communities, mentorship, health equity, medical innovation, advocacy, and global health. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new hobbies, baking treats for friends and neighbors, teaching herself the guitar, and enjoying live music. She is looking forward to discovering the exciting new hobbies that Nashville has to offer!
