Professional Bio
Gordon Bernard, MD, is a Professor in the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary, and Critical Care Medicine and holds the Melinda Owen Bass Chair in Medicine, Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Bernard is also the program directory of The Vanderbilt Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (VICTR), which is dedicated to transforming the way ideas and research discoveries make their way from origin to patient care. Dr. Bernard received his undergraduate degree from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette and his MD from Louisiana State University. He trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky and completed subspecialty training at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he was the Parker B. Francis Fellow in Pulmonary Medicine and completed his Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship.
