Professional Bio
Jay Montgomery, MD, is an Associate Professor and is the Associate Program Director for the Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship program in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
He graduated first in his class from the University of Kansas School of Medicine before coming to Vanderbilt, where he completed Internal Medicine residency and served as a chief resident. He stayed at Vanderbilt for fellowships in Cardiovascular Medicine and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and then remained on faculty.
In addition to clinical and teaching duties, he studies the interface between cardiac implantable electronic devices and cardiac pathology as well as atrial fibrillation.
