Professional Bio
Jennifer Choe, MD, PhD, is the Head and Neck Medical Oncology Disease Team Lead and directs the clinical trials research program in the Division of Hematology and Oncology within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. A member of Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, she specializes in cancers of the head and neck, thyroid, and non-melanoma skin cancers. Dr. Choe's primary research interests focus on clinical trials utilizing novel therapeutic approaches to overcome chemoradiation and immunotherapy resistance in head and neck cancers, including specific areas of interest in adenosinergic signaling, immunotherapy with T-cell and macrophage targeting, in addition to exploitation of metabolic pathway dependencies. In her previous role, Dr. Choe established the Head and Neck Oncology Clinical Research Programas the Head and Neck Disease Lead at Duke University and Duke Cancer Institute, where she also served as the first Associate Director for Clinical Sciences for the Duke Center for Cancer Immunotherapy. She is actively involved in ASCO, ECOG and NRG Oncology Cooperative Groups.
