Jinan was born in Toronto, Ontario in Canada and spent her early childhood there until moving to Indiana at age 10 with her parents and older sister. She attended Purdue University and majored in Genetics and Global Studies. Following undergrad, Jinan attended IU School of Medicine, where outside of internal medicine, she also developed a strong commitment to medical education as a peer tutor and to global health through a two-month clinical rotation with the AMPATH Kenya program. In her free time, Jinan loves to spend time with her family and friends, binge watch reality TV, and explore local restaurants. Fun fact: Jinan still has one baby tooth!
