Professional Bio
Julian Genkins, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine within the Department of Medicine's Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC).
A physician educator specializing in clinical informatics, Dr. Genkins is also a member of the Vanderbilt Clinical Informatics Core (VCLIC) in VUMC's Department of Biomedical Informatics. He began his career as a software developer before transitioning to medicine, completing medical school at Vanderbilt University in 2018, Internal Medicine residency at the University of California, San Francisco in 2021, and a Clinical Informatics Fellowship at Stanford University in 2023. While at UCSF, he also received a certificate in health professions education.
