Professional Bio
Kate T. Wooldridge, MD, MPH, SFHM, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Section of Hospital Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
She completed her MD at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and her internal medicine residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. She joined the VUMC faculty in 2014 as a VA Quality Scholar, completing a two-year fellowship in health services research and quality improvement. As part of this curriculum, she earned a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology.
In 2016, Dr. Wooldridge became medical director of the VUAH Patient Flow Center, leading focused initiatives to improve processes around medicine admissions, the Medicine Admission Coordinator RN program, direct admissions, and outside hospital transfers. She currently serves as the medical director for the MAC RN program and physician lead for the Hospital Medicine Geriatrics service (Riven 7). She also attends on the internal medicine procedure service and has additional training in point-of-care ultrasound. She has been honored as a senior fellow in hospital medicine through the Society of Hospital Medicine and as a member of the Vanderbilt Academy for Clinical Excellence.
