Professional Bio
Lauren Chan, MD, MA, is a member of the Section of Hospital Medicine within the Department of Medicine's Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health at Vanderbilt Health. She graduated from Brown University with a bachelor's degree in psychology, and attended Stony Brook School of Medicine, where she additionally earned her Master of Arts in Compassionate Care, Medical Humanities, and Bioethics. She completed her Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency at Vanderbilt in 2025, followed by an Internal Medicine-Pediatrics chief residency in 2026. Dr. Chan is passionate about medical education, narrative medicine, and mentorship.
