Professional Bio
Majd El-Harasis, MBBS, is a Clinical Fellow in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
He completed medical school at Imperial College London, graduating with triple Distinction in Medical Science, Clinical Science, and Clinical Practice. He then completed Internal Medicine Residency at Mayo Clinic. During residency, he was awarded an Outstanding Achievement Award and the Best Senior Resident Educator Award. He then completed Cardiology fellowship at Vanderbilt, where he served as Chief Fellow.? During fellowship, he was awarded Best Fellow Teacher awards by the cardiology faculty and by internal medicine residents.
He has worked with Dr. Ben Shoemaker since 2019, including two years of full-time research. He completed a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation (MSCI) at Vanderbilt and served as a fellow for the American Heart Association’s Sudden Cardiac Death Strategically Focused Research Network.
Dr. El-Harasis is currently a Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellow. During fellowship he has been first-author and co-author on multiple manuscripts, and has a manuscript, “Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation in Patients with Pathogenic Variants in Cardiomyopathy and Arrhythmia Genes," under-revision at a major arrhythmia journal.
