Born and raised in Miami, Manny earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Florida State University, where he became the first person in his family to graduate from college. During his undergraduate studies, he participated in biomedical research and community service projects focused on serving patients with limited access to healthcare resources. After graduation, he took a gap year and worked as a certified ophthalmology scribe, where he was first exposed to geriatric patient care, hypertension, diabetes, and other common medical conditions. While attending the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Manny became highly involved in medical education, serving as his class Medical Education Chair. In this role, he contributed to multiple educational initiatives, including curriculum improvements, board preparation programs, and clinical site enhancement projects. His professional interests include medical education, quality improvement, clinical research, and community involvement. Outside of medicine, Manny enjoys reading, hiking, weightlifting, and spending time with his wife and young daughter. He is excited to hike, eat, and explore his way through Middle Tennessee with his family.
