Margaret was born in Houston, Texas but grew up in San Antonio alongside her three siblings. She completed her undergraduate studies in Cellular and Molecular Biology at Vanderbilt University (Anchor Down!). After graduation, she returned to Texas to join a research team at Texas Children’s investigating osteosarcoma. Margaret went on to attend McGovern Medical school at UTHealth Houston where she discovered an interest in cardiology, and continued developing her passions in clinical research, medical education, and teaching. Outside of medicine, Margaret enjoys reading Brandon Sanderson, baking for friends and family, pickleball, all things arts and crafts, a competitive board game night, and (albeit begrudgingly) training for a family Ironman relay. She is excited to return to Nashville and continue her journey as a part of the Vanderbilt IM family!
