Professional Bio
Marika Manolopoulou, MD, joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center as faculty in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension in 2021. She earned her medical degree at Chicago Medical School and completed her internal medicine residency at Loyola University in Chicago. While completing her fellowship training in nephrology at VUMC, she was involved in a project that aimed to define the mechanism of proximal tubular injury effect on the cell cycle and development of fibrosis. Her clinical and research interests include the treatment and pathophysiology of chronic kidney disease and glomerulonephritides, with a particular interest in apheresis. Her research has been published in peer reviewed journals and presented at national conferences.
