Marinia was born in Cairo, Egypt but spent most of her life in Nashville, Tennessee. She attended Belmont University and received her undergraduate degree in Biology. During this time, she worked as Medical Assistant at Ascension Saint Thomas, where she discovered her passion for continuity of care and solidified her desire to pursue a career in medicine. She went on to attend Meharry Medical College, where she became actively involved in medical education and mentorship. Outside of the hospital, Marinia enjoys serving in her Coptic Orthodox church, spending time with her family, going on nature walks, and trying new Nashville restaurants. She is excited to train at Vanderbilt and continue serving the Nashville community!
