Professional Bio
Matthew Freiberg, MD, is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is an internist and cardiovascular epidemiologist who is interested in cardiovascular diseases particularly among those living with HIV or suffer from substance use and abuse. His work involves large electronic health record cohorts within Veterans Affairs as well as established cohorts funded by the NHLBI. He conducts epidemiological studies, translational/biomarker studies, and clinical trials.
