Division of Geriatric Medicine
Michael McClellan
Professional Bio
Paul "Michael" McClellan, MSN, FNB-BC, APRN, is a Family Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Medicine's Division of Geriatric Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC). He completed his Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Vanderbilt University's School of Nursing in 2010 and joined the VUMC staff in January 2025. Michael has joined the GRACE/SPIRE team at Vanderbilt that seeks to connect elders with resources in the home to promote health and wellbeing. He also treats homebound patients who are in need of palliative care, assisted living, or skilled nursing services. Prior to joining VUMC, Michael provided primary care services to elderly patients in a variety of settings, including the home, assisted living, and skilled nursing with Miller Health Group. In addition, he has been a hospice provider to patients at the end of life. He says it is an honor to take care of patients nearing the end of life, and it is one that he doesn't take lightly.
