Nozima Aripova
Interests

Nozima was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and moved to St. Louis with family in 2012. She joined MD/PhD program at University of Nebraska Medical Center. Her research work focused on cellular interactions between macrophages and fibroblasts in response to malondialdehyde-acetaldehyde and citrulline modified proteins in the context of Rheumatoid Arthritis pathogenesis. She is interested in rheumatology and excited to join the internal medicine program and Harrison Society to pursue a career as a physician- scientist. Outside of medicine, Nozima loves to train for marathons, cycle, and swim. She is excited to run around Centennial Park and get all the local legends/course records on Strava segments around Nashville. A fun fact is that she was a competitive chess player in the past and competed several times at World Championships.
