Professional Bio
Qi Dai, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Epidemiology in the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Dai has 29 years of experience conducting large epidemiologic studies of chronic diseases, with extensive expertise in nutritional and molecular epidemiologic studies. His research focus is to identify and investigate nutrient-nutrient (e.g. magnesium, calcium, vitamin D and phytochemicals) and gene-nutrition and gene-phytochemical interactions in the etiology of cancer and other chronic diseases (e.g. Alzheimer's disease) and to subsequently develop precision-based prevention strategies.
