Rachael Pellegrino
Professional Bio
Rachael Pellegrino, MD, MPH, is an Instructor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC). She received her MD and MPH from Johns Hopkins University and completed her Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Diseases fellowship at VUMC. Her current research investigates factors associated with infection-related cancers in people living with HIV and methods for improving cancer prevention, screening and patient-centered outcomes. She works closely with local and international research groups including the Tennessee Center for AIDS Research (TN-CFAR) and the Caribbean, Central and South America network for HIV epidemiology (CCASAnet). Dr. Pellegrino sees patients with HIV at the Vanderbilt Comprehensive Care Clinic and hospitalized patients with complex infectious diseases.
