Professional Bio
Rebecca Stern, MD, is an infectious disease specialist in the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC).
She completed her undergraduate training in Medical Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She earned her medical degree at the University of Wisconsin (UW) School of Medicine and Public Health, and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at UW Hospitals and Clinics. She did fellowship in Infectious Diseases at VUMC, where she served as chief fellow.
Dr. Stern is the Chief Hospital Epidemiologist for Williamson Medical Center and serves as the Adult Ambulatory Medical Director of Infection Prevention for VUMC. Her research and clinical interests include infection prevention, COVID-19 epidemiology, and medical education.
