Professional Bio
Rob Reid Hood, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Before coming to Vanderbilt, he was with the Page Campbell Cardiology Group at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville and involved in clinical teaching. In addition to working with housestaff and medical students during teaching rounds, Dr. Hood developed a regular teaching conference at Saint Thomas Hospital and developed and taught an elective course in the medical school focused on Literature and Medicine. For twenty years he practiced interventional cardiology and nuclear cardiology.
As Page Campbell developed an increasingly integrated role within Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Dr. Hood withdrew from interventional cardiology and became increasingly involved in administrative roles with the Vanderbilt Medical Group.
