Professional Bio
Ryszard Dworksi, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Allergy, Pulmonology, and Critical Care Medicine within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He earned his MD and PhD at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, and completed internal medicine residency programs at Jagiellonian University and Vanderbilt University. He is Board certified in Internal Medicine, Allergy and Immunology, and Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He also completed fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Dworski is an author or co-author of more than 50 original research papers describing the role of lipid mediators and oxidant stress in atopic asthma and aspirin-exacerbated respiratory distress in humans in vivo.
